News Update

FINALLY!!!! The North American tour takes shape. We will obviously add the missing venues when we get them and might try to squeeze in an extra show or 2 on off nights, but this is how it is looking. We have NO idea about ticket info. Call the venues. Lot's of cool new merch! It looks like on the shows with TOOL, Fantômas might go on before TOOL. Don't ask why!

News Update

As Staind once said, "It's been awhile". How y'all doing? So I guess you want some news. First of all, thanks to everyone around the world that bought THE DIRECTOR'S CUT! It is doing amazingly well. Charting everywhere from Billboard in the US to the HMV National Chart in Australia. For you packaging freaks here is the breakdown. Australia got the shiniest packaging. Europe got a shiny front and duller back, North America got duller front and back. That's what happens when you use 3 different printers. Some Australians even got a 2 song sampler, shiny poster or ticket to an instore appearance by the band! The home of AC/DC rules!
Fantômas will be doing some North American dates on the west coast and through the midwest with Chicks On Speed from Sept 4-21 then open for TOOL on the east coast to the south from Sept 22-Oct 7. I will post dates soon.
The band has new merch to sell for the Australian and North American tours. Relax, you will be able to spend your money on lot's of cool stuff.
The song that Mike and the Automator played on Radio 1 was from the Automator's upcoming record SONGS TO MAKE LOVE TO YOUR OLD LADY TOO, due out this fall on the Automator's label, featuring several tracks with Mike on vocals. We'll see if we can beg for a song sample to post.
Peeping Tom are starting to pull things together too. Dan and Mike are in the studio cooking up things. Look for Peeping Tom in record stores and on the road the second half of 2002 on Reprise Records.
Tomahawk is scheduled for Oct 31 release followed by a November North American tour followed by tours in Europe and Australia in early 2002. The record is great!!! It is a real rock record. Some people who were FNM fans but can't digest Fantômas will be pleased. We will be putting up a sample in a month or so when the drama over the demo's dies down.
Work is proceeding on putting together the Melvinfantomas Big Band Live New Years Eve CD. We have not forgotten.
The webstore hit some snags. Still working on getting it together, in the meantime you can order CDs from our discography section by clicking the "buy" button.
Mike has spoken to Chino from the Deftones about contributing to Team Sleep and to the Dillenger Escape Plan about recording an EP with them but nothing is confirmed, scheduling gets tricky. He is also still lloking for time to do the collaboration with Massive Attack/Prodigy. The movie career is obviously on hold.
Melvins are finding the pieces and extras for a rerelease of 10SONGS. They begin recording their new studio record in December for a spring 2002 release.
Recording sessions begin soon for Atom Smasher, The Curse Of The Golden Vampire, Kid606 and The Lucky Stars. We are close to a deal for the most recent Young Gods CD.
WEEN and the Boredoms are trading tapes for Z Rock Hawaii.
eX-Girl are on the road in North America in Aug/Sept, don't miss them! Their CD, BACK TO THE MONO KERO is doing very well. Sensational is smoking too!
We are in the planning stages for our annual New Years Eve show again. looking into a bigger venue this year.
That's all for now. Remember to ask your local record stores and radio stations for Ipecac artists! You are our street team!! GO RAIDERS!

News Update

The website was hacked again. So, we're in the process of getting everything back in order. Unfortunately, I only had database backups from January, so any news from then to now has been lost. Sorry. Please excuse the mess while we clean up. And for all those that just can't live without it, the BBS will be back up sometime this weekend!
